25th Annual Chocolate, Wine & Roses Festival

We are thrilled to bring our supporter's together for a 25th Anniversary Silver Soiree.  The theme is the '25th Anniversary' in celebration of this important fundraiser that, for 25 years, has raised money to support authentic social needs in our community.  The Chocolate, Wine & Roses Festival supports local programs including a 24-hour crisis line, the Mt. Rose Safe House, crisis intervention and support services, a comprehensive children's program, and violence prevention education to local school children.  For the past five years, Tahoe SAFE Alliance and Project MANA have collaborated on the Festival, extending its support to include emergency food distribution and nutrition education.  That's a reason to celebrate!

Air and Lake Adventure

Calling all adventurers. We live and play in Tahoe but this is a new way to enjoy the majestic beauty that surrounds us.  You will start your morning off by taking to the air in this adventure of a life time! You and your guests will enjoy a flight around the rim of Lake Tahoe in a private restored and performance-modified 1964 Cessna 182 plane piloted by Pierre Redmond.  You will have the option of boarding the plane at the beach or pier of your choosing.  Your trip will include "floating" on the lake, and the opportunity to disembark at Sugar Pine State Park to walk the beach and take pictures of this historical land mark. 

Includes lunch or brunch for two at Garwood's in Carnelian Bay. 

Valid for one flight during June - September, 2014.  Flight is valid for up to 3 guests, based on body weight.

Day with Olympian & Gold Pass

Spend the morning skiing with Squaw Valley legend and US Olympian Marco Sullivan.  Sullivan grew up in Lake Tahoe with skiing in his soul. He was on skis at age three and racing by age seven with Squaw Valley's Mighty Mites program.

Sullivan is part of the US Ski Team and competed in the 2002, 2006, and 2010 Olympics.  Sullivan came in 9th in 2002 in Utah, and 23rd in 2010 in Vancouver.  Futhermore, he is a World Cup Champion, having come in 1st in 2008 at Chamonix, France, and 2nd in 2007 at Lake Louise, Canada.  Sullivan is currently training for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. 

Sullivan will show you his favorite skiing spots at Squaw as well as what it takes to compete and be a winner!  You will ski together on the morning of March 22, 23 or 24th, 2013.

You will also receive a Team USA Olympic sweatshirt and autographed World Cup race bib.

You will also receive a Gold Pass good at Squaw and Alpine Meadows with no black out dates.  It is valid for the 2013-2014 season.  Benefits include discounted tickets for friends and family, early lift access/Dawn patrol, and discounts on rentals & equipment, food and retail.

Chef Bio:

Lee Kresy took over management of D'Lish Catering in Tahoe City in early 2013.  Prior to this, he was the Executive Chef at Sunnyside Restaurant and Lodge for 23 years. Chef Lee has been in the restaurant business for over 35 years. Lee started running kitchens in the bay area for a restaurant group at a fairly young age and fell in love with cooking and preparing food right from the start. He studied at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Napa, as well as studying under some well-known chefs such as Mark Miller and Rick Bayless. However, Lee learned a lot of his cooking skills and passion for cooking from his family. As a kid, he was always a part of the meal in some way and his parents were always trying new recipes. Kresy's passion has always been about food and he is always looking for new creative ways to prepare and present his culinary arts by using as much sustainable and organic foods as possible.
